Strategy doesn’t mean much without implementation.

Let’s explore the different types of things that need to be done once the strategy work is complete.

I can either work with your team, do the work myself or give your team advice and coaching on how to do the work. I can also bring onboard people in my network to help out.

It depends on your situation – each client is different and has access to different budgets, resources and people.

Once the strategy is done, it’s time to do the work – let’s get into the details!

Your website

If you don’t have a website, you have a couple of options:

  • WordPress
  • Wix or similar
  • Custom web development

I can help you with setting up a basic WordPress website but I am not a full web developer. Having said that, there’s quite a bit I can do for you:

  • Register a domain
  • Set up hosting
  • Set up the WordPress core CMS
  • Set up a premium WordPress template
  • Create the core pages of your website
  • Set up your logo and brand colours
  • Set up basic forms to capture leads or a contact form
  • On-page Search engine optimisation
  • Linking between pages and navigation

If you need something more than that you will need a web developer or the help of a web development agency.

If you have an existing website I can help out with a website review that covers:

  • SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)
  • User experience across desktop, tablet and mobile
  • Page speed and performance
  • Content architecture
  • Conversion optimisation

I can work with your web team to improve these things once I’ve done the review.

Copywriting and Content Marketing

I am a qualified copywriter with more than 20 years experience in digital marketing. I have experience writing for multiple digital platforms and tactics including:

  • Email marketing and newsletters
  • Facebook Ads
  • Google Ads
  • Web content including SEO
  • Email marketing and newsletters
  • Press releases
  • Brochures and print material
  • Blogs and articles
  • Social media posts
  • Video captions
  • Traditional advertising like TV, radio and print ads

Analytics and Reporting

Measurement, tagging and tracking are key to digital marketing success – as long as you have a correct measurement strategy with the objective of gaining INSIGHTS you can take action on. I am a data-driven marketer. Here’s how I can help:

  • Google Analytics installation (new installation and audit of existing installations)
  • Facebook Ads and Google Ads conversion event and conversion pixels implementation
  • Advertising and email campaign tagging and tracking with UTM campaign tags
  • Google Data Studio analytics dashboards
  • Email marketing analytics
  • Social analytics

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

I love doing SEO and I have written a comprehensive guide to doing WordPress SEO.

Here’s what I can help you with:

  • Keyword research
  • On-page SEO including meta titles and descriptions, content, interlinking, user experience, conversion optimisation and image optimisation
  • Technical SEO
  • Content strategy to help you attract links to your site naturally

SEO is a long-term strategy. If you’re lucky you will see an increase in organic traffic after 8 to 12 months but it could take longer. The sooner you start, the better.

Email marketing

Email is still one of the most effective means of reaching your clients and engaging with your audience.

Here’s how I can help:

  • Communications strategy for acquisition, conversion, retention and reacquisition
  • Email copywriting
  • Subject line testing
  • Call to action testing
  • Email marketing analytics
  • Automation through Hubspot, ActiveCampaign, Marketo or similar
  • Data segmentation
  • Newsletters and once-off mailers

Paid advertising

The quickest way to get leads and sales is through paid advertising. I don’t recommend you even THINK about this strategy until you have everything else set up including a high-performing website, conversion optimisation, analytics, tagging and tracking and a competent sales team or ecommerce experience. If you start advertising before everything else is in place you will lose money fast.

Once these things are done you can start sending paid traffic to your website through various ad platforms.

Here’s how I can help:

  • Google Ads setup and management (including paid search, Google Display and YouTube advertising)
  • Facebook Ads setup and management (including Instagram advertising)
  • Creating a budget and forecasting leads and sales
  • Conversion optimisation
  • Landing page setup and optimisation

If you need something else (e.g. social media management or design work), let’s chat. Perhaps I know someone who can help.
