Why Deep Thought Exists
After twenty years working inside marketing teams — building campaigns, managing budgets, hiring agencies, and staring at dashboards — I kept seeing the same problem.
Businesses weren’t short of marketing activity. They were short of marketing coherence. The SEO team didn’t talk to the paid media team. The CRM wasn’t connected to the website. The sales team blamed marketing for bad leads. Marketing blamed sales for not following up. And the CEO just wanted to know what was actually working.
I’d seen it in online gaming, where I cut my teeth managing high-velocity acquisition campaigns across global markets. I’d seen it in insurance, where lead quality and conversion speed were everything. I’d seen it in education, where the gap between a prospective student’s first click and their enrolment decision could stretch across months and dozens of touchpoints.
Every time, the answer wasn’t more marketing. It was better-connected marketing. Someone needed to sit between the strategy and the execution — between the data and the decision — and make the whole thing work as one system.

Returned to lead broader digital strategy with deeper expertise. Applied the data-driven rigour from insurance to gaming’s fast-moving paid media environment. Sharpened skills across SEO, PPC, CRO, and multi-channel attribution.
First step into the education sector. Discovered the complexity of long-cycle enrolment funnels and the importance of lead nurture and content marketing in decision-heavy purchase journeys.
Leading marketing operations for an Online Programme Management company partnering with major South African universities. Managing multi-institution lead generation, HubSpot and Salesforce ecosystems, lead scoring, nurture automation and Marketing-Sales alignment at scale. This role crystallised the Strategic Integrator approach, connecting brand, data, tools and teams into a single growth system.
Launched to bring the Strategic Integrator methodology to growing South African businesses, starting in the solar and green economy sectors. Applying two decades of cross-industry experience to help businesses turn fragmented marketing into a unified growth engine.

When I’m not deep in a marketing audit or building a lead scoring model, you’ll find me following the latest in renewable energy (I’ve had solar panels on my roof since 2020 — it’s personal as much as professional), exploring Lisbon when I can, and adjusting to the new reality of an empty nest now that my daughter has headed off to university.
